Handmade 24K solid gold and silver turquoise ring with diamonds. Inspired by rings worn by the Ottoman Sultans. In line with Ottoman taste, jewelry had to be ornate and extremely colorful. Jewelers used a variety of metals like gold and silver and stones like turquoise in order to fashion a piece of jewelry. Many popular jewelry motifs originated in the Ancient World. Later the designs were adopted by the Byzantines, then by the Ottoman Empire. Jewelry did not only complemented the outer appearance of an Ottoman woman but also gave her status.
